David DukeDavid Duke

As a founding partner of Nunn Hayward, David knows all about the challenges and opportunities of starting and growing your own business. He spends much of his time using his extensive knowledge and experience to advise new and growing businesses. David specialises in providing a bespoke service to small and medium-sized businesses, as well as advising inward-investing overseas companies.

David trained and qualified with top-six firm Grant Thornton, rising to the position of senior manager, before starting his own practice which in 1998 became part of Nunn Hayward. He is a Fellow of the ICAEW.

David JordanDavid Jordan

David’s considerable experience in general practice covers business start-ups and growing businesses, as well as the accounting, taxation and business requirements of small and medium-sized enterprises. He has particular interest in professional firms such as solicitors, film and television production companies, construction companies, charities and community interest companies. He also specialises in personal and corporate tax.

David’s accountancy career started in the commercial sector before he moved to train in practice. He qualified in 1982 and became a partner with John R Norman & Co in Harrow, remaining with them until 2006 when the firm merged with Nunn Hayward. He is a fellow of the ACCA.

Ian NunnIan Nunn

Ian specialises in advising small to medium-sized companies, with particular interest in mergers and acquisitions. His involvement with a number of our major clients has established Nunn Hayward as an integral part of their team of advisors, assisting them to implement and achieve their strategies for growth.

Ian was articled to Grant Thornton and qualified in 1981. He was a founding partner of Nunn Hayward and is a Fellow of the ICAEW.

Simon DoddSimon Dodd

Although he is considered a general practitioner, Simon specialises in commercial matters, management consultancy and accounting issues. His considerable client portfolio ranges from professional services such as solicitors and IT and business consultancy companies to internationally renowned photographers, hairdressers, agencies, production companies and studios within the fashion industry.

Simon puts his specialist knowledge to good use in other ways too, giving sound business management advice to entrepreneurs and helping businesses to grow.

Having qualified as a chartered accountant at Nunn Hayward in 1990, Simon became a partner in 1992. He is a Fellow of the ICAEW.

Stephen CookStephen Cook

Stephen specialises in proactive tax planning and advice. He and his team of experienced tax managers offer advice in all areas of personal, business and trust taxation to entrepreneurs, businesses and private clients. The team is renowned locally and nationally as one which is able to provide proactive and relevant advice tailored to the needs of each individual client.

Of his twenty plus years with Nunn Hayward, Stephen has been a partner since 1998. He previously worked for HM Revenue and Customs and uses the considerable knowledge and experience he gained there to represent clients in complex HMRC issues. He possesses the rare skill of being able to convey complex tax issues to clients and colleagues in a clear and understandable manner and is a Chartered Tax Advisor.

Jonathan HemmingsJonathan Hemmings

Jonathan’s hands-on experience with many types and sizes of company enables him to offer solutions and strategic direction tailored to every business’s individual needs. His main focus revolves around statutory audit, corporate tax and accounts preparation, and he also specialises in working with solicitor practices on compliance issues. In addition, he takes a keen interest in company start-ups.

Jonathan qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2002 and joined Nunn Hayward in the same year, having worked previously for Grant Thornton in Corporate Finance and Audit. He became a partner in 2007.

Daniel PalmerDaniel Palmer

Daniel specialises in the areas of audit and assurance, accounts, corporate taxation and general commercial advice. He deals with clients from all sectors of industry, from small, owner-managed businesses through to public companies.

Daniel joined Nunn Hayward in 2002, having previously worked for Grant Thornton in audit.  He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2003 and became a partner in 2007.

Peter HaywardPeter Hayward

Peter is responsible for the New Malden office and has been based there for over twenty years. He is a general practitioner dealing with all aspects of accountancy, corporate taxation and audit for small and medium-sized companies. He also deals with accountancy and taxation on behalf of self-employed individuals and partnerships as well as personal taxation.

Peter qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1973 and formed his own accountancy practice in 1983. The practice became part of Nunn Hayward in 1998.

Tom LaceyTom Lacey

Tom’s specialist areas include Solicitors Accounts Rules audits, charity audits and community interest companies. His experience in dealing with a wide variety of types and sizes of business allows him to offer a service which is tailored to the needs of each individual company.

Tom began his accountancy career with Deloitte’s in London, having graduated in mathematics at the University of Bristol. He qualified in 2005 with John R Norman & Co and remained with the firm when they merged with Nunn Hayward the following year. He was appointed a partner in 2009.

Arvin AssaniArvin Assani

Arvin has extensive knowledge of all areas of corporate, personal and business taxes and also focuses on strategic tax planning for individuals and companies.

Arvin qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2000 and joined Nunn Hayward in 2005 as a Tax Manager, before qualifying as a Chartered Tax Advisor in 2006. He was appointed a partner in 2009.
